Before you begin your application, you should determine what type of undergraduate student you will be. Indicating your correct “student type” will ensure you get all the questions and application fields you need.

• Most students going to college right after high school will apply as 一年级学生.
• If you have taken courses at a two- or four-year school, have 12 or more semester hours of college credit to transfer to North Park as a traditional undergraduate student, 你应该申请 转学生 (see “Special Situations” below for other transfer options for 护理 and adult learners).
• If you are coming to school in the United States on a student visa, you will be an 国际学生—either international first-year, international transfer, or international exchange.
• If you would just like to take a few courses at North Park, but are not seeking a bachelor’s degree, 你可以注册为 non-degree-seeking/visiting applicant.

If you’re not sure which student type is right for you, or have any questions about the choices, contact our Office of Undergraduate Admission, we’ll help you figure it out.

If you’ve never logged in to North Park’s admission system online, the first thing you’ll do as part of your application is 创建帐户. You’ll answer a few simple questions and supply your contact information. We’ll send you an email with a verification link to make sure we got your email address correct. Check your email and follow the instructions we’ve sent to verify your account, you’ll be able to log in and start your application.

If you have already started an application, you can continue or finish it by 重新登录. As long as you haven’t submitted the application, you can continue to edit or add more information.

If you’ve submitted your online application, you can also make sure you’ve submitted all supplemental materials by 重新登录.

Along with your online application, we will need some more information in order to make an admission decision. You’ll need to submit official high school and/or college transcripts, 一份学术参考, 还有一篇个人短文. Additional instructions for submitting each of these items will be explained in the online application.

Prospective students will not be required to submit test scores for admission. Students who have already tested and wish to submit their scores may do so, submitting test scores can only help, 不伤害, your chance of admission. 欲知详情 see our full admission standards.

Test Scores and Minimum Standards

Students who enroll at North Park represent a wide range of backgrounds and have attended high schools or colleges all over the country and the world. No matter where you’re from, it’s important to make sure you’re ready for the academic rigor of college coursework. Review our admissions standards.

An important part of any college application process is filing the Free Application for Federal Student 援助 (FAFSA). Starting October 1, 2022, you can submit a FAFSA for the 2023–2024 academic year. We recommend Illinois residents file no later than February 1 to ensure eligibility for the Illinois MAP Grant. North Park’s FAFSA code is 001735.

To slim down the paperwork, North Park uses your FAFSA results to determine what University grants or loans you may be eligible for; there is no additional financial aid application form. Learn more about financial aid at North Park.

North Park uses a rolling admission policy, which means we make admission decisions based on the completion of each individual application (including supplemental materials). After your application file is complete, you can expect an admission decision within two weeks.

After you receive your acceptance letter and email, your next step is to confirm your intent to enroll at 北园大学. You’ll receive a second email that includes your North Park ID and instructions for setting up your University network account 和电子邮件地址. This is an important step and must be done before you can confirm your place by making your 学费存款 of $200.

Setting up your account 让你的 学费存款 will also ensure that you receive important information on financial aid, 住房, registering for your first semester as early as you are eligible. Financial aid packages are typically sent in March; first-year registration begins in mid-April.

If you know you want to attend North Park, we strongly encourage you to pay your 学费存款 as early as you can, definitely before June 1. If you are a spring semester student, you have until December 15. After this date, the deposit is no longer refundable.
